Saw this stupid claim in one of E. D. G. E.'s videos and it's one of the most pathetic and idiotic things I have ever heard in my life. Made a video it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vLMfZE_gEFc&t=159s it's only part 1 for now.
Well guys, long time no see. Sorry for my absenc, I have been kinda busy making some videos and being addicted to videogames on the weekend while I have college on week days, but I see that here in Deviantart there have been a series of posts, one mentioning the other, spreading awareness about the Amazon Wildfires. I appreciate that countless are worried about the greatest natural jewel of my country, and these wildfires are certainly a problem and must be dealt with.
There is one issue, howeve, something I should warn you about this problem: there are lots of fake news about it, specially against president Bolsonaro, blaming him for the whole thing when wildfires in the Amazon have actually happened in this time of the year (the dry season, locally) for about 20 years. Yes, you read it correctly. I even made a video talking about it https://youtu.be/EiKsFG3t7eQ Long story short: when Lula, Dilma and Temer (the first two being left wing politicians, and the last one having strong ties with the first two) were presidents no one cared about it, but now that Bolsonaro, a right wing politician, is president the mainstream media gets concerned about the rainforest all of a sudden, obviously using it as a political weapon, and this sucks. Heck, I admit even I did not know the Amazon had a wildfire problem this time of the year since I was born. Also the governmen has already sent the Armed Forces to try to stop these wildfires.
So basically, thank you all for being concerned about it, but be careful to not end up being fooled by fake news. These wildfires are a huge problem that must be dealt with (and the Bolsonaro government is doing just that,), but the mainstream media is using it as a political weapon and spreading fake news about it, so don’t believe in everything you hear or read about these wildfires.
